Regular Exercise

A regular exercise regimen can provide significant improvement in the health of patients with arthritis. An exercise program that includes aerobics and stretching exercises help improve balance, maintenance of joint stability, improves joint flexibility, strengthens muscles and reduces hurt.

The Arthritis Foundation offers many services and exercise programs for people with arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is an exercise program designed exclusively for people with arthritis. It is gentle exercises to improve flexibility and range of joint movement. These exercises also help maintain muscle strength and reducing hurt. The exercise program is conducted by trained instructors, who began training exclusively for the Arthritis Foundation instructor-training workshop. However, the exercises taught to the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, should not replace therapeutic exercises prescribed by your doctor.
